Multi-Car Collision near Garden Highway Off-Ramp Left One Dead

SACRAMENTO, CA (September 6, 2023) – A three-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 early Monday morning claimed the life of one person.

The fatal incident happened around 3:10 a.m. along the southbound lanes of I-5, near the Garden Highway off-ramp.

At this moment, the California Highway Patrol is investigating the reason that resulted in the crash. Although, officials claimed that at least three vehicles were involved, including a U-Haul truck.

The responding emergency personnel also declared one person dead at the scene. However, their identity has not been disclosed, pending notification from their relatives.

Moreover, a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. The southbound lanes of Interstate 5 have since reopened.
