Homeless Man Struck and Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Burbank Boulevard Involving Sanitation Vehicle

SHERMAN OAKS, CA (February 27, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a pedestrian crash on Burbank Boulevard left one fatality. The accident happened at around 11:45 a.m., near the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area. According to police, a man who was believed to be homeless and a Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation vehicle was involved in the incident. Consequently, the investigation showed that the sanitation vehicle struck the homeless man while in a trash collecting service. Furthermore, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
