Motorcycle Crash Near Coloma Way Left 1 Dead and 1 Seriously Injured

ROSEVILLE, CA (September 7, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, a person was killed and another one was hospitalized following a motorcycle-SUV collision on Sunrise Avenue.

The deadly crash happened around 4:45 p.m. just south of Sunrise Avenue near Coloma and Cirby Way.

According to the police, two motorcycles collided with a white Ford Bronco for reasons under investigation. In addition, news footage from the area also showed the Bronco with front, rear, and driver-side damage.

Responding emergency personnel declared one of the riders dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the second rider was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

It was unclear if the SUV driver suffered injuries from the collision. At this time, the identities of the parties involved in the incident remain undisclosed to the public.

In the end, officials closed Sunrise Avenue from Cirby to Coloma Way and was reopened shortly after 9:00 p.m.
