Male Victim Trapped, Hospitalized after Rollover Accident on Hollister Street

HESPERIA, CA (April 12, 2022) – Crews airlifted one man to a hospital Friday evening, after a rollover crash on Escondido Avenue.

The incident occurred around 8:24 p.m., in the southbound lanes, between Hollister Street and Muscatel Street.

For reasons unknown, the driver of a white 1997 Honda Accord lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the Honda rolled over multiple times.

Firefighters responded and extracted one male passenger who was trapped inside the Honda with significant injuries. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, an air ambulance transported him to a trauma center in Malibu Park.

According to witnesses, three other male occupants escaped with minor injuries.

Authorities believed alcohol played a role in the crash as witnesses said that beer cans and a whiff of alcohol came from the Honda.

At this time, police have not released further details about what led up to the collision.
