Vehicle Crash near Pennsylvania Avenue Left One Hurt

FAIRFIELD, CA (April 25, 2022) – Monday afternoon, a delivery driver injured a CHP Officer in a traffic crash on Texas Street, police said.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened along Texas Street near Pennsylvania Avenue.

Furthermore, investigators claimed that the delivery driver crashed into the patrolman’s vehicle leaving the officer with back and shoulder injuries.

Eventually, the first responders arrived and transported the officer to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.

Meanwhile, the delivery truck driver told the authorities that he fell asleep at the wheel.

At this time, the crash along Texas Street remains under active investigation, as both street temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Fairfield Officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the crash.
