Motorcycle Accident near Wilmington Avenue Left One Police Officer Hurt

CARSON, CA (September 30, 2022) – Early Wednesday morning, a police officer was injured after a motorcycle crash on 405 Freeway.

The incident occurred around 5:50 a.m. along the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway, near Wilmington Avenue.

According to the report, a van collided with an on-duty officer riding a department motorcycle. First responders transported the officer to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

At this time, the cause of the collision is under investigation. The accident caused traffic backup along the northbound 405 Freeway.
