Los Angeles Police Officer Hurt in Pursuit Crash near Compton Avenue

WATTS, CA (December 16, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, one police officer sustained injuries in a high-speed pursuit collision on 108th Street.

The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m., along 108th Street and Compton Avenue on November 23rd.

According to reports, LAPD was in pursuit of a vehicle that was traveling at high speeds in the area. For reasons under investigation, a collision occurred causing injuries to one officer.

Los Angeles Officials have not released the injured officer’s condition at this time, and they have taken one person into custody. However, it is unknown if that person was the motorist who led the pursuit.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened. The California Highway Patrol will release additional information about the pursuit collision on 108th Street once available.
