Traffic Accident on Foothill Boulevard Left One Hurt
OAKLAND, CA (May 13, 2022) – Over the weekend, a DUI crash on 16th Avenue left one officer with injuries, police said.
The incident happened in the area of 16th Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, per authorities.
According to the reports, the collision involved a law enforcement vehicle.
Furthermore, the crash occurred when a drunk driver was speeding and ran a red light and crashed into a deputy’s patrol vehicle.
Responding medics took the officer with non-life-threatening injuries to a hospital for further treatment. Additionally, the driver was taken into custody by police at the scene.
At this time, authorities have not released further information about the collision.
