Niles Canyon Road Crash Left Fremont Police Officer Hurt

FREMONT, CA (November 18, 2021) – A Fremont police officer is recovering after a crash on Niles Canyon Road Saturday evening.

The incident happened around 6:41 p.m. when a responding Fremont Patrol officer got involved in a major injury crash with another vehicle.

As a result, the officers sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the passenger from the other involved vehicle complained about the pain and went to a local hospital for treatment.

According to the police, the officers are responding to assist Alameda County Sheriff’s deputies with a prowler call.

At this time, traffic officers from the Newark Police Department took over the investigation as part of the Tri-City Accident investigation team.
