Car Crash on Highway 99 Injures On-Duty Stanislaus Sheriff’s Deputy

MODESTO, CA (December 8, 2021) – A car crash on Highway 99 left an on-duty Stanislaus sheriff’s deputy injured Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. when a northbound sheriff’s deputy got off the highway at the Kiernan Avenue exit.

Afterwards, an eastbound Acura struck the driver side of the deputy’s vehicle after it pulled into the exit’ s intersection.

According to the CHP, both drivers sustained minor injuries.

Authorities identified the Acura driver as a 37-year-old woman who complained of shoulder pain and a small cut on her right hand.

Meanwhile, the deputy also suffered from shoulder pain.

At this time, the CHP is working to investigate the Highway 99 crash.
