38-Year-Old Seattle Police Officer Killed in Deadly Accident on Interstate 5

SEATTLE, WA (June 25, 2021) – Officer Alexandra Harris lost her life Sunday evening after an auto-pedestrian collision on Interstate 5.

The tragic crash happened around 1:20 a.m. June 13, on Interstate 5 near South Forest Street.

According to reports, Officer Harris had just ended her shift and had stopped to assist with one of two accidents that happened late that night. When she stepped out of her vehicle, a vehicle immediately struck and killed her.

Investigators say the driver that struck the officer stayed on scene and cooperated with the authorities. At this time, the Seattle Police Department continues to investigate this crash involving one of their own.
