Traffic Accident on Wall Street Left 1 Hospitalized

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 14, 2022) – Thursday afternoon, a motorcycle hit-and-run on Wall Street left one off-duty officer with injuries.

The incident happened on August 11th, before 4:40 p.m., in the area of Wall Street and Winston Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle and motorcycle collided. The motorcycle rider, an off-duty police officer, was injured in the collision. Afterward, the driver of the involved vehicle did not stop to render aid to the victim and instead fled the scene.

Responding paramedics arrive at the scene shortly after and took the off-duty officer to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have stated that the officer is expected to recover from his non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities later located the suspect driver a short distance away from the scene of the crash. However, LAPD officials have not confirmed if there were any arrests made.
