An off-duty Los Angeles police officer was strong-arm robbed by two suspects on a Saugus street this week, the Santa Clarita Valley Signal reports.

The cop reported the robbery about 2 p.m. Monday near Bouquet Canyon and Newhall Ranch roads. Two men on bicycles attacked the victim and took personal goods, the paper reported. Following a perimeter search of the area, one suspect, a 20-year-old transient identified as Matthew Huhta, was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The paper reports that another man in his early 20s was still being sought. The cop's belongings were reportedly recovered. It doesn't appear that the officer suffered injuries.
