Michelle Antoinette Vega Arrested after Fatal Rollover Crash on Del Rey Avenue
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (June 20, 2023) – Friday, Ofelia Santana died after a DUI crash on Jensen Avenue that left Michelle Antoinette Vega arrested. The incident happened on June 16th near the intersection of Del Rey Avenue and Jensen Avenue. According to reports, 45-year-old Michelle Antoinette Vega, of Fresno, was driving westbound on Jensen Avenue. She lost control and entered the center median. There, she overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn on the right shoulder. The collision caused her passenger, 35-year-old Ofelia Santana, to be ejected from the vehicle. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. First responders to the site of the collision transported both Vega and Santana to a local hospital for treatment. At the hospital, officials pronounced Santana dead, due to the extent of her injuries. Following the crash, police arrested Michelle Antoinette Vega, after she showed signs of intoxication.
