If you're paranoid about the cleanliness of restaurants or the grades given to them by the health department, this blog post might not do much to mitigate your fears. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health frequently publishes a list of restaurants closed either permanently or temporarily due to a number of factors including vermin infestation, sewage, and lapsed permits. Sure (animated) rodents are cute, but not so much when you're digging into a bean and cheese burrito at your neighborhood taco stand, or a sushi roll at an upscale Japanese restaurant.
