The election is over. So why is President Obama still coming to L.A., his West Coast fund-raising piggy bank? To help get money for his pals in the U.S. Senate. They're facing a midterm election in fall.

So once again L.A. has to face the horror that is Obamajam. This morning. But there is some good news here, at least if you're twisted like us:

The impact of his visit — you know, limos, motorcade, police escorts, closed streets, et. al. — will apparently be restricted to the far Westside.

Even this hardcore Westsider is relieved by the Westsiderness of this event. According to the LAPD, these are the street s that will be impacted:

The area around Centinela Avenue and West Olympic Boulevard from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and between the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The area around West Olympic Boulevard and Cloverfield Boulevard from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and between the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The area around 26th Street and San Vicente from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and between the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

For some reason, the word schadenfreude comes to mind here.

Have fun.
