Dinner and a movie, the quintessential first date. You get to talk, then not talk. It's perfect. But combine both under the same roof, with pillows and blankets available upon request, and it's an entirely new (perhaps perfecter, depending on the person) ball game. At the new Gold Class Cinema at One Colorado in Pasadena, you can check in 30 minutes before a movie, order your meal, and have it delivered to your seat just before the movie.

And we're not talking about ordering stale popcorn and Raisinets and hot dogs here, but pressed Cuban sandwiches, charcuterie platters, duck tacos, Wagyu burgers and beignets with dipping sauce. The new theater also Ps a full bar and “multi-sensory viewing experience” capabilities. Translation: Quantum of Solace plus martini, shaken not stirred. Further translation: first date, expedited; with a minimum 30 minutes of totally unawkward post-show conversation built-in.
