How many establishments named Crossroads can one city have? At least one more, it turns out. Apart from the chain of popular resale fashion stores, the vegan restaurant on Melrose Avenue and the progressive private school in Santa Monica, there's now a cafe at the Autry National Center of the American West called Crossroads West.

The new cafe is being billed as “an upscale, moderately priced dining option.” This means eggs, pancakes and breakfast wraps for breakfast ($7-$9) and burgers, sandwiches and salads for lunch ($8-$13). There are some nods to the museum's Western roots, with items like a buffalo burger, fry bread tacos and cowboy chili. But there's also tuna salad sandwiches and the like, as well as chicken tenders and grilled cheese for the kiddies. And for the poor worn-out parents of those kiddies, there's beer and wine for sale.

It's a nice addition to the museum but also offers another option for eating at Griffith Park. I'd probably rather eat at Trails Cafe, but that's basically on the other side of town, Griffith Park being so huge. If hunger strikes while on the eastern edge of the park, Crossroads could be a great option.

Crossroads West serves breakfast and lunch from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekends. It is closed on Mondays.
