It's hard to believe that it was only half a year ago that Nosaj Thing's fantastic Drift came into our world. That record not only feels like an archetypal example of the kind of electronic ingenuity pouring out of the local Beat Music scene, but we've played it enough to know it like the back of our hand. (Excuse the awkward third-person in that last sentence; it was worth the transition.)

Because now, thanks to the blog Yours Truly, we can all get a good look at the back of Jason Chung's hand while its tactile better half (i.e. the front) is hard at work recreating those stunning soundscapes in a live setting. This brief feature on the artist better known as Nosaj Thing is solid all-around (references to The Smell and The Beat Junkies never hurt), but remarkable as sampler porn. Dig it:

In case you were wondering about those two non-Drift tracks, “3rd Complex” hails form the 2006 EP Views/Octopus, and “Nice Tights” is a remix of a Jogger original. Incidentally, Jogger's debut LP, This Great Pressure, comes out on Daedelus' Magical Properties imprint today. In other Nosaj news, here's an idea of what he's doing on his current tour.

Amazing, right?
