Maria Smith Hospitalized after Deadly Collision near Highway 395

HAWTHORNE, CA (December 14, 2021) – Sunday, Noah Fogg and Richard Smith were killed in a two-car accident on State Route 167.

The fatal collision happened on the freeway near U.S. 395 on December 5. Additionally, authorities say two vehicles were involved.

Per reports, 22-year-old Fogg, of Mammoth Lakes was heading north on Highway 395. For reasons unknown, his Dodge Neon veered into the southbound lane, where it collided head-on with an oncoming Toyota pickup-truck

The Toyota was driven by 78-year-old Smith, of Lake Forest. Due to the impact of the collision, medics pronounced both Fogg and Smith dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, Maria Smith, Richard’s wife, sustained serious injuries. As a result, medics airlifted her to Renown Hospital in Nevada for further treatment.

At this time, it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation is underway.
