Aesthetic medicine has evolved as the demand for minimally invasive cosmetic procedures has risen, and the global market is expected to reach $147 billion by 2030, according to Grand View Research. Treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers, body contouring, and surgical interventions are becoming more normalized across diverse demographics, driven by a desire for subtle enhancements and preventative care. However, while these treatments often receive attention for their effectiveness and convenience, the post-procedural experience remains critical but often under-addressed.
Proper aftercare plays a crucial role in recovery, treatment efficacy, and complication prevention. Research published in Dermatologic Surgery found that patients who adhered to guided post-procedure instructions after filler injections experienced a significantly lower rate of adverse effects, including bruising and swelling. Yet many patients leave their appointments with merely a printed handout or a generic PDF. In a space where clarity, reassurance, and consistency are vital, outdated communication methods risk compromising patient trust and procedural results.
This disconnect between patients’ needs and practice workflows has created space for technology-driven solutions that are designed to enhance the aesthetic aftercare experience. One such platform, Looped, is aiming to reduce post-procedure confusion and streamline patient support by replacing static aftercare materials with interactive, video-based education tailored to the aesthetic and wellness industries. Designed to deliver clear, accessible information directly to patients’ mobile devices, Looped is giving clinics a scalable way to improve patient engagement and retention without adding administrative burdens.
Founded by Sam Patel, Looped launched in April 2025 and onboarded 100 clinics in its first three weeks. The platform offers patients immediate access to personalized social media-style video instructions, covering everything from Botox and dermal fillers to surgical recovery and medical weight loss. By guiding patients through the nuances of post-procedure care, such as what to avoid, how to manage discomfort, and when to seek follow-up, it alleviates uncertainty and empowers patients to manage their recovery proactively. According to Patel, the app’s goal is to “build an ecosystem of trust” between clinics and patients by offering digestible, relevant content when it’s needed most.
Looped’s format is simple but effective: rather than combing through PDFs or waiting on a return phone call from a busy office, patients receive step-by-step video content curated by their providers. This ease of access reduces procedural anxiety, encourages compliance, and allows aesthetic practices to deliver a smoother, more modern client experience. The content is procedural and educational because patients who are exploring a certain service might be introduced to complementary treatments like skin tightening through the app.
This educational dimension is becoming especially valuable as patients seek more comprehensive aesthetic journeys rather than isolated treatments. “They’re learning about synergistic technologies,” said Patel. “So if they’re doing medical weight loss, now they’re learning about, ‘Oh, I can also do skin tightening,’ and they’re learning that in the app… Maybe it was mentioned at the visit, but they were overwhelmed. Now they’re gaining confidence while watching videos at home.”
Looped’s early traction suggests a strong appetite for this kind of digital engagement in both U.S. and international markets. With its Canadian launch scheduled for June, the company has already secured commitments from more than 20 clinics there and is fielding interest from providers in Australia, Bulgaria, Greece, Egypt, and Ireland.
Currently operating in more than 20 U.S. states, Looped recently launched its headquarters in Chicago and scaled its team, which has grown to approximately 14 employees. As the company matures, it is shifting from a general-use platform to a targeted solution for specific medical verticals, with aesthetics and wellness at the forefront.
