If you're a bar owner — or patron — planning to celebrate any of the number of upcoming booze-related holidays (the Super Bowl, St. Patrick's Day, Oktoberfest, somebody's birthday, doing your laundry, whatever really) by playing drinking games, you might not want to party in Huntington Beach. On Tuesday, city leaders voted to ban alcohol games such as beer pong at any new restaurants coming to downtown. Add this rule to the one enacted last fall which banned games at existing restaurants. All this is part of an effort to clean up downtown Huntington Beach. Which has apparently been littered with stray drunks and ping pong balls.
