See’s Candies is reopening to customers in Los Angeles with its new “Click→ Pick→Go!” service — a contact-free pickup service that allows See’s Candies customers to safely and conveniently enjoy the classic chocolates and sweets.
The launch follows a temporary closing of select stores in March. In its 99-year history See’s Candies has only had one other interruption, during WWII due to rationing. Each step taken in reopening stores is to ensure customers have safe and easy access, many of which are made using the same recipe that Mary See used almost 100 years ago.

This new service is completed in three steps and supports safe social distancing for employees and guests. Even See’s Candies famous candy sample has been thoughtfully reimagined, and is included in with each order as an individually wrapped treat. Customers can call the store to confirm arrival, and orders will be placed in the contact-free area outside of store once the shop doors have closed. The Pie Hole
The Pie Hole is offering sweet Independence day tradition this weekend. The Firecracker Cherry Pie is made with tart Michigan cherries, and ignited with Tellicherry black pepper on flaky buttery dough topped with a lattice and Mom’s Apple Crumble is a melange of tart apples mixed with cinnamon and sugar inside a butter crust. Pair them both with traditional whipped cream or The Pie Hole’s new “Spike Your Pie” amaretto whip.

Inspired by West Hollywood hotspot Delilah, Lilah’s drive thru will pop up this weekend in the Delilah parking lot to celebrate the off shoot’s new ghost kitchen concept by The h.wood Group. Chef Antonio Domingo is cooking up classic diner favorites like chili cheese burgers, onion rings, Cobb salad and Delilah’s signature chicken tenders. To kick-off the launch, they are doing a pop-up drive thru with Beyond Meat on Sunday, July 5 and Monday, July 6, from noon to 6 p.m., where you can order from the entire Lilah’s menu to either eat in your car, take home, or enjoy in the parking lot where they’ll be socially distant tables set up.

Ike’s is offering buy one, get one free sandwiches on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4. Just flash the Instagram post from @ikessandwiches at the register. The post will be up Friday. Ike’s Love & Sandwiches is open for delivery and in-store takeout.

Burger Week
Coming together for the very first time to celebrate restaurants throughout Southern California, Los Angeles and Orange County unite to launch Burger Week, which will be held from Sunday, July 12 through Sunday, July 18. Burger Week was created to encourage diners all throughout the Southland (Orange County, Los Angeles County, Long Beach, and Pasadena) to celebrate and support SoCal restaurants while enjoying the almighty burger.
Burger Week will feature burgers from a long list of participating restaurants across Southern California including Ayara Thai, Casita Del Campo, Faith & Flower, Harold & Belles, Honeybee Burger, Lunetta, Mi Place and Newhall Refinery, to name a few. Diners will be able to explore a variety of burgers, ranging from classic to creative, featuring proteins including beef, chicken, turkey, mushroom, and plant-based options, on menus priced at $10, $15, $20, and luxe menus at $25. Restaurants will also be featuring special dine-in, takeout and delivery packages, along with specialty featured cocktails made with Maker’s Mark or Knob Creek Bourbon Whiskey.
