26-Year-Old Woman Died after a Vehicle Crash near Rio Altar

GREEN VALLEY, AZ (October 3, 2022) – Wednesday morning, Nicolette Hendrickson died following a semi-truck crash on Duval Mine Road.

The crash happened on September 28th, at around 7:00 a.m. when Hendrickson crossed double-yellow lines on Duval Mine Road and collided head-on with a semi-truck. The impact of the collision left Hendrickson with serious injuries.

First responders arrived at the site of the collision shortly after. Medics transported her to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, authorities closed down the areas of the road surrounding the crash for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Investigators state that speed and impairment were not factors in the crash. At this time, no further details about the crash are available. However, more information will be released once it is made available to the public. Police are asking any witnesses to the accident to please contact local officials as soon as possible.
