24-Year-Old Driver Killed in Single-Car Collision on Rampart Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (March 28, 2022) – Monday afternoon, a solo-vehicle crash on Lake Mead Boulevard took the life of Nicolas Wranik.

Around 3:21 p.m., police received reports of the incident on Lake Mead Boulevard and North Rampart Boulevard.

Investigators revealed that a 2003 Acura TL driven by Wranik was heading south on Rampart approaching Lake Mead in the right-turn lane at a high rate of speed.

For reasons unknown, Wranik  failed to turn right and eventually struck the median in the northwest corner of the intersection. There, Wranik reportedly slammed into two poles as well; which redirected the vehicle southbound across the westbound lanes of Lake Mead.

Paramedics arrived and transported Wranik to UMC Trauma, where he was later pronounced dead due to the extent of his injuries.

At this time, an active investigation into the single-vehicle crash is still currently ongoing. Once available, further details will be provided.
