Ashish Krishnani, Kam Sau Involved in Pedestrian Crash near State Route 46 Off-Ramp

PASO ROBLES, CA (January 20, 2023) – Friday night, a fatal pedestrian crash on Highway 101 left Nicholas Ernest Schaefer dead.

The incident happened at around 8:15 p.m., on the southbound lanes of US 101, just north of the State Route 46 off-ramp.

Investigations show that Schaefer, for reasons unknown, ran across the highway. There, he was struck by a Hyundai Elantra, driven by driven by 32-year-old Ashish Krishnani. Following the initial collision, Schaefer was struck again by a Jeep Cherokee driven by 48-year-old Kam Sau. The impact of the collisions left Schaefer with fatal injuries.
