23-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision on South McDowell Boulevard
PETALUMA, CA (February 1, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, Nicholas Duran was killed in a pedestrian accident on Baywood Drive.
Police responded to the scene around 5:51 a.m., near South McDowell Boulevard on December 17th after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle struck a male pedestrian just south of Berrydale Drive.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the severely injured victim dead at the scene. The coroner’s office later identified the deceased victim as 23-year-old Duran, of Petaluma.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided. At this time, an active investigation to determine more information is still currently underway.
