Passenger Dead after Fatal Two-Car Collision in Bar Harbor

MAINE, CA (October 14, 2021) – A deadly head-on crash in Bar Harbor killed Nga Thi Le, and injured Douglas Hager, Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m., when a southbound 2021 Chrysler minivan crossed into the northbound lanes and struck a guardrail.

Shortly after, the Chrysler veered onto the northbound lanes and eventually collided with a 2016 Honda Pilot head-on.

One passenger inside the Chrysler, identified as 65-year-old Nga Thi Le, died at the scene. A third passenger was taken by flight to Northern Light in Bangor for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the Honda, Ruth Cserr of Orford, New Hampshire was transported to Mount Desert Island with non-life threatening injuries. She was the only occupant inside the Honda.

Officers later identified the Chrysler driver as Douglas G. Hager, of Yorba Linda.

Due to the extent of damage sustained, both cars had to be towed away from the scene. At this time, Maine officers will continue to investigate the Bar Harbor Crash.
