Drawn from four different tap troupes, this remarkable concert spotlights performances by the best and brightest of the upcoming generation of tappers, interspersed with solos by some not-so-elder masters and contributions from 13 celebrated choreographers. Jazz Tap Ensemble’s Caravan Project has long been a finishing school for up-and-comers, and here the Caravan kids go toe to toe with dancers from L.A. Ironworks, Tap Overload and Syncopated Ladies. The polished, energized youngsters will have some splendid examples set by veteran tappers Channing Cook-Holmes, Becky Bloom, Steve Zee and Denise Scheerer. Participating choreographers include such stellar figures as Harold Kromer, Dianne Walker and Jazz Tap Ensemble artistic director Lynn Dally. Expect to be dazzled and delighted! Madrid Theater, 21622 Sherman Way, Canoga Park; Sat., Sept. 16, 8 p.m.; $18, $15 students & seniors. (818) 347-9938.
