President Obama is coming to the Westside today to raise money for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee.
And when some of you see Obama and Westside in the same sentence, you get flashbacks from Obamajam 2010, when some key corridors, including Olympic Boulevard, turned into parking lots for hours:
It seems that officials have found a fix for the presidential congestion, but the LAPD issued a warning just in case:
Police aren't giving us the exact times and coordinates for the presidential visit that ends tomorrow, but they are offering advice.
On Monday you'd be happier if you avoided ...
... the LAX area from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
... Westwood and Beverly Hills from 4:45 p.m. to 10 p.m. between the 405 freeway and La Cienega Boulevard and between Venice Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard.
Where will Obama be? He's going to Earvin "Magic" Johnson's house and then to Haim Saban's 37th Annual Saban Community Clinic Gala at the Beverly Hilton about 8 p.m. or so, apparently.
On Tuesday, stay away from ...
... the grand swath of L.A. between Fairfax Avenue and Western Avenue and between Beverly Boulevard and Pico Boulevard, from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
... Glendale (including Riverside Drive, San Fernando Road, Grandview Avenue, North Pacific Avenue, West Kenneth Road, Victory Boulevard, San Fernando Road, the 5 and the 134 freeways) from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
... the LAX area from 1:15 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Tuesday Obama's expected to be at the Hancock Park home of television executive Marta Kauffman for a fundraiser. Then he'll speak at DreamWorks Animation in Glendale.
Military helicopter exercises over the skies of Los Angeles Saturday afternoon, including reporting landings at Rancho Park and Los Angeles High School near Hancock Park, give us hope that the President's people are planning on flying over the worst traffic in the nation instead of being in it.
In any case, you've been warned.
