New York Magazine's well-read blog Vulture announced Wednesday that it has hired Joe Adalian as its West Coast editor in Los Angeles. He'll be responsible for much entertainment coverage and analysis of television, according to the mag.

“Joe is a big hire for us in terms of rounding out our coverage of the entertainment industry,” states nymag.com editorial director Ben Williams. “Fans already know and love Vulture for its must-read TV recaps and insightful critical takes, and we'll now also feature original reporting with an insider's perspective on the business behind the shows.”

Adalian has worked for TheWrap.com, the New York Post, Variety, and TV Week, according to a statement from the magazine. At TheWrap he wrote a blog called TV MoJoe. He will join Claude Brodesser-Akner, who covers film, in Vulture's L.A. area office.

The expanding blog boasts that traffic has doubled — it had 1.9 million visitors in March — over the last six months.
