Authorities are wrapping up a huge holiday DUI crackdown with at least one checkpoint and several saturation patrols throughout the L.A. area. Here's your cheat sheet:

-Tonight there will be a DUI checkpoint in the city of Santa Monica. However, local police are not giving us the exact locations or hours (look for a range of 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., roughly).

-Saturation patrols will take place in the following areas, according to the L.A. Sheriff's Department: Long Beach, Pomona, South L.A. (via the CHP), the West Valley (via the CHP) and West Hollywood.

-Additionally, participants in the Avoid the 100 (as in avoid L.A. County's 100 law enforcement agencies) program will be looking out for drunks behind the wheel, according to sheriff's officials, who list the following departments:

Gardena, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Torrance, Manhattan Beach, El Camino College, El Segundo, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, UCLA PD, Huntington Park, Long Beach, Signal Hill

That's what we know. Be careful. Ring in 2013 with a bang and not the clang of a jail cell.
