BlogDowntown's Eric Richardson takes a tour of the new Police Administration Building that will officially debut next week, replacing the old Parker Center on Los Angeles Street. He notes that the $437 million, half-million square-foot headquarters across from City Hall will combine several facilities that had previously been spread out all over downtown. (Remember when Internal Affairs moved into the Bradbury Building?)

The new digs' highlights include the “abundant landscaping around it. Colorful, drought-resistant plants can be found on all sides of the complex, and a large lawn on 2nd street is surrounded by plenty of seating.” And — attention Squid Ink bloggers — “a restaurant in the building opens out onto the park area, and is slated to be called L.A. Reflections.” (Not the Parker Grill?)
