A group of artists called Cyrcle have painted a new mural on the famed wall of Susy's Meat Market in East Hollywood, and this time it's not splattered with red paint.

In the fall of 2009, Susy's commissioned street artist Rabi, who's a member of Cyrcle, to create a mural featuring Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. But someone hated the mayor so much, he or she threw red paint on his face and later scrawled the word “vendido” on his collar.

Vendido is someone who sells out his people.

Villaraigosa is now gone, and a mural promoting peace — not a politician — has taken its place.

The new mural — titled “Ready…Aim…FLOWER!” — can be found on Santa Monica Boulevard, just east of Vermont Avenue.
