Long Beach band Crystal Antlers have decided to greet the longest day of the year by releasing the video to a track appropriately entitled “Summer Soltice”, off their new album Two Way Mirror.

It's been a bit of a bumpy ride for Crystal Antlers. Their last (and first) full-length, Tentacles, was the final LP released by famous independent label Touch and Go before they went out of business. The band had managed to build up well-deserved buzz with American and European tours only to have to regroup and start over.

So start over they did, holing up in La Punta Banda, México, to write the songs, and recruiting Ikey Owens (Mars Volta, Free Moral Agents) as producer and Athony Arvizu and Jeff Lewis as engineers. The LP with art by Raymond Pettibon will be out on July 12 on their own imprint, Recreation LTD, but if you can't wait till then, “Summer Solstice” is available for download on the band's website.
