For three hours and 15 miles on a weekday morning, L.A. Cycle Tours presents its Neighba'hood Art Tour. You'll pedal your way though downtown's grittier neighborhoods – ZIP codes that lately are saturated with artistic expression that pushes past the boundaries of a canvas or a gallery and affixes itself everywhere from cars to walls and the rooftops above. You'll see murals and street art, graffiti dens and alleys on this ordinarily boring, banal hump day, and perhaps a few underground artists (are they up at 7 a.m.?). The tour company will lend you a helmet, water bottle and hybrid bicycle – a cross between a street bike and a mountain bike – with which to ford the many potholes and on which to wave at the many bystanders who will envy your freedom, just riding around L.A. on a Wednesday, becoming more erudite with every turn of the wheel. Make an online reservation and they'll send you the meeting point. Downtown L.A.; Wed., April 2, 7 a.m.; $60. (323) 550-8265, lacycletours.com.
