Three Injured in Head-On Collision near Pioneer Trail

LAKE TAHOE, CA (May 26, 2022) – Officers arrested 26-year-old Nayely Mora Lopez Saturday night, after a DUI crash on Chonokis Road.

The incident took place around 10:10 p.m., near Pioneer Trail. For DUI related reasons, Lopez collided head-on into another vehicle.

Upon impact, three occupants inside the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, Lopez failed a field sobriety test administered by responding officers. In addition, Lopez also had a 3-year-old child in her vehicle.

Authorities arrested and charged Nayely Mora Lopez for DUI and child endangerment. Her bail was set at $250,000.

At this time, South Lake Tahoe Officials continue to investigate the incident.
