In continuation of Citrin and Mélisse’s COVID-era tribute takeaway menus, Chef Josiah Citrin dedicates the September 17-20 menu to Chef David Kinch and his three-Michelin-starred restaurant Manresa as well as the virtual cinema premiere of A Chef’s Voyage. The new feature film examines the nature of teamwork at the Michelin level, following Kinch and his team as they travel to France, collaborate with culinary luminaries, and celebrate Manresa’s 15th anniversary. To mark the occasion, Citrin will offer a five-course menu with dessert from renowned Pastry Chef Sherry Yard — whom Manresa’s Pastry Chef, Courtney Moisant, describes in the film as her career’s inspiration. The Melisse x Citrin menu also includes a viewing link at L.A.’s Laemmle Theaters for guests to watch the film at home. First Run Features presents the film’s Virtual Cinema premiere at theaters nationwide, beginning on Friday, September 18. Guests can pre-order through Tock for pre-paid pick-up for parties of 1-6.

And if you’re a cheese lover who wants to skip the calories, pick up a copy of AMERCAN CHEESE by Joe Berkowitz, available on Oct. 6, which chronicles his cheese adventure of a lifetime, spending a year exploring the subculture around cheese, from its trenches to its command centers. He learned everything he could about the world and its history from elite cheese mongers, premiere cheesemakers, farmers, dairy scientists and more. The journey would take him around the world, from the underground cheese caves in Paris to the mountains of Gruyere, leaving no curd unturned, all the while cultivating an appreciation for cheese and its place in society.
