33-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck by Semi-Truck near Montana Street in Echo Park

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 14, 2022) – Early Tuesday morning, Natalie Schaffer was killed while sleeping in an Echo Park. Police responded to the scene around 12:45 a.m., near Montana Street on October 11th. According to reports, the driver of a semi-truck was making a U-turn into a Von’s parking lot when he failed to notice a woman sleeping underneath cardboard. As a result, the big-rig ran her over. Emergency crews responded to the scene and declared 33-year-old Schaffer dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the big-rig remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still currently underway.
