Injuries Reported after 3-Vehicle Collision near Highway 12 in San Andreas

SAN ANDREAS, CA (April 22, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, Narciso Sanchez, Bryan Bowman and Linda Henson were injured in a 3-vehicle crash on Highway 49.

At around 3:15 p.m., the accident happened on the northbound lanes. Officers say 86-year-old Sanchez of Pioneer, was driving a 1953 Chevrolet pickup-truck on the road.

For unclear reasons, Sanchez suddenly crossed into the southbound lanes over a solid double-yellow line. There, he struck an oncoming 2020 Ford F-150 pickup.

The Ford pickup then collided with a 2013 Dodge Caravan that was stopped near Highway 49. As a result of the impact, Sanchez suffered critical injuries.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after the crash and airlifted Narciso Sanchez to Memorial Medical Center. In addition, reports indicate that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

As for the driver of the Ford, 61-year-old Bryan Bowman, of Modesto sustained moderate injuries. The third driver, 69-year-old Linda Henson of San Andreas, suffered minor injuries.

At this time, CHP is still investigating to determine further details.
