40-Year-Old Woman Dies in Traffic Accident on Lawrence Expressway

SANTA CLARA, CA (September 19, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, officers were dispatched to a crash that claimed the life of My Kin Phan.

On September 10th, at around 1:54 a.m., police responded to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Lawrence Expressway and Poinciana Drive.

According to police, the vehicle was traveling southbound on Lawrence Expressway and drifted to its right, crashing into a signal pole.

Furthermore, the vehicle was occupied by three people including 40-year-old passenger Kin Phan, a 36-year-old driver, and another 35-year-old passenger.

Following the crash, Phan was pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, the driver and one other passenger suffered injuries and were transported to a local hospital.

Meanwhile, the police stated that possible DUI charges with injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated are being pursued at this time.
