10,000 Days (Tool Dissectional/Volcano)
Howdy Kids, it’s Bill Manspeaker the punk rock puppet master from Green Jello. My all-time favorite album has got to be 10,000 Days by Tool. The Song “Rosetta Stoned” reenacts an alien misadventure my friends and I unfortunately stumbled upon in the desert of Kalifornia on New Year’s Day 2004. My wife Brenna and son Damien Hellion and I all headed out to “BIG ROCK” in Landers, Kalifornia to meet up with my friend Kevin Smith — Kevin had recently had a strange alien encounter there and he was going to give me a detailed description and a guided tour of his experience. What happened next changed my life forever. When I returned home I instantly went to Tool practice and told them of the incident. Danny Carey is quoted saying that Maynard was so intrigued by the story that it became a song on my all time favorite album 10,000 Days.
The rest of our story is told on the song “Rosetta Stoned.” On a side note, if you wanna go see where the aliens hang out go to the “INTEGRATION” at “GIANT ROCK” in “LANDERS KALIFORNIA” and tell them the punk rock puppet master sent you.
