My favorite record of all time is The Unforgettable Fire by U2. Right smack dab in the middle of the “cheesy ’80s” U2 put this record out, produced by Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois. My favorite song of all time is “The Unforgettable Fire.” The experimental usage of echo and reverb blew my mind. I was 14 years old and I was looking for something more in music. When I heard a bunch of Irish kids singing about Martin Luther King and how important he was to them, I realized music could always have a message.

Filter plays with Of Limbo and Migrant Motel at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27 at the Regent.
