On Matthew Sweet & Susanna Hoffs' new Under the Covers 2, the pair tackle classic 1970s rock tunes by, among others, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Grateful Dead, Carly Simon and, in a daring maneuver, prog rock band Yes ("I've Seen All Good People"). The pair gig the Grammy Museum tonight, where they'll play music from the disc.

Christina Courtin, new to the excellent Nonesuch Records roster, plays Largo. Writes the Weekly's Falling James: "Most performers recording their debut album don't get to work with seasoned musicians like keyboardist Benmont Tench (Tom Petty), pedal-steel whiz Greg Leisz (Dave Alvin, Bill Frisell), guitarist Jon Brion (Fiona Apple) and guitarist Marc Ribot (Tom Waits), but the young New York singer-songwriter was able to cajole these and other luminaries to adorn her self-titled CD on Nonesuch with subtly sublime touches."
