Delorean's chipper set of dance music was one of the highlights of September's FYF Fest in downtown L.A. -- the Barcelona-born quartet's four-on-the-floor beats proved an exhilarating finish to what, for some, was a frustrating festival experience.
With its layered vocals, keening synths and mainly straight-ahead pop songs, the band's debut album Subiza has proven a keeper for fans of indie-rock and electronica alike. Delorean's current U.S. tour with True Panther Sounds labelmates Lemonade has all the makings of a late-night dance party -- you'll just have to imagine it's 3 a.m. when the bands play the Troubadour tonight.
Elsewhere: A Perfect Circle plays the second of its three night at the Avalon, and his one features the quintet playing its second album Thirteenth Step in its entirely. ...
