This looks like it’s going to be a special one. D Generation/Heart Attack man Jesse Malin kicks off season 3 of his The Fine Art of Self Distancing show at the Bowery Electric in New York by performing his 2003 album The Fine Art of Self Destruction in its entirety. Then he’ll perform songs inspired by special guest Jim Jarmusch before engaging in an at-the-bar chat with the filmmaker.

All ticket sales will go towards helping save venues during this pandemic.

“Very few venues are going to be able to surive.  We need real financial help from the federal government, like they just did in Britain with the $2 billion dollar bailout,” writes Malin for Rolling Stone, in a story about the venue crisis.  “The government needs to acknowledge that the arts are essential to our culture, community and growth.”

There will also be a performance by Felice Rosser and a PMA greeting from HR of Bad Brains.

Tune in at 4 p.m. PT on Thursday, August 6 via Veeps.
