Having moved to an outdoor theater in Joshua Tree last year after a decade at Pappy & Harriet’s, the 12th annual Desert Stars Fest will, like everything else this year, be a virtual affair. Still, the lineup is exquisite — much like Joshua Tree.

Mercury Rev top a bill that also includes Ringo Deathstarr, Pete International Airport, Ryley Walker, Alex Maas of the Black Angels, Wayne Everett of Lassie Foundation, Mayflower Madame, Spindrift, the Black Tapes, Mother Mariposa, Dream Phases, Spoon Benders, My Dallas Teens, Velvet Starlings, and Noir Dalis.

“Our 12th Annual gathering will be happening this year, however, due to the government mandated ban on all gatherings of 250 people or more in regard to containment of Coronavirus, our event will be held virtually on 9/25 and 9/26 (no physical gathering for this year),” they wisely say on their website.

Desert Stars Festival takes place on Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26. Visit desertstarsfestival.com for all the info.
