It’s been 46 years since jazz artist Dee Dee Bridgewater released her debut album, Afro Blue, in 1974. Since then, she’s released 20 albums (including live and compilation). She lived in France for two years, resulting in the J’ai Deux Amours French language record in 2005. Two years later, she released Red Earth which explores her Malian roots. So her music is a genuine journey, right up to 2017’s excellent Memphis… Yes, I’m Ready. That said, this stream sees her performing the music of jazz pianist Horace Silver.

Tune in at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 4, here.
