Once again, we can marvel at the fact that the awfulness of this global pandemic has made the world a bit smaller in a virtual sense, and therefore Detroit’s Concert of Colors livestream is as available to people here on the West Coast as it is to those living in Downtown Detroit.

The largest world music festival in the Midwest, Concert of Colors has long been a joy — not least because of Don Was’ annual jam which sees some of the best performers in that city come together. This year, his All-Star Revue will be paying tribute to the great John Lee Hooker.

Other performers include Alina More & Fuego, Sean Blackman and In Transit, Xiao Dong Wei, Detroit Underground Resistance, and many more.

Tune in from 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6. Festivals runs through Sunday, October 11. For all of the information, go to concertofcolors.com.
