Devin Townsend’s 2019 album Empath is one of the best of the Canadian prog-metal madman’s career so far, and that’s saying a hell of a lot. The man behind the Strapping Young Lad and Ocean Machine projects is always on the verge of a musical curveball, and Empath caught many metal fans off guard with it’s majestic, swirling, heavy and emotional soundscapes. He’s releasing a deluxe version — Empath: The Ultimate Edition — on June 5, and he’s live streaming a couple of shows to raise money for the NHS in the UK and hospitals in New York.

Tune in at noon PT on Saturday, April 25 and the same on time on Saturday, May 2. Buy tickets here
